The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to cross mopping off the to-do list. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. ( robot vacuums best can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through cleaning.
It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt as well as pet hair and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help pull out debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into difficult corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however, this is something that you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a variety of features.
The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and also detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and intelligently. This ensures an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively rapid.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surface areas. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also come with a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.
Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-and-forth or slightly more randomized pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will determine how fast the device will move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to protect your carpets from damage. carpets.
This device is expensive but has many smart features. However, it's important to note that it incurs periodic expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.
The robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. It has an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life make it easy to keep a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that is equipped with an elastomer pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate map of your floorplan that it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that let you know when it was starting or finished its work.
The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps, which could be a problem for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it also has distinctive features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock, which doubles as a charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.
The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you free it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.
Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
